Hospital to home
Rehab and physio at home
Physiotherapy and rehab visits in the home.
From £55
This is not an emergency service. If someone has chest pain, stroke signs, severe breathing difficulty, heavy bleeding or collapse, call 999 or go to A&E. We work alongside the NHS, not instead of it.
About this service
Rehab at home is physiotherapy and guided recovery in the rooms you actually live in: the stairs, the bathroom, the chair you get stuck in. Friends Medical Service already runs clinic physiotherapy. This page is for home visits.
Is this right for me?
- After joint surgery or a medical admission
- Fear of falling
- Building confidence on your own stairs
Working alongside your NHS team
We do not replace your NHS GP, district nurse, consultant or A&E. We add private capacity at home. If you already have an NHS package, tell us so we do not duplicate or confuse the plan.
What we help with
- Strength and mobility
- Transfers
- A realistic home exercise plan
What happens during the visit
- Assessment in your home
- Treatment and exercise
- A written plan you can follow between visits
What is included
- Physiotherapist visit
- Home exercise plan
Who delivers your care
A physiotherapist. Medical issues are passed to our GP or your NHS team.
Pricing
From-price per session. A block of sessions is usually better value and better clinically.
After your visit
We set a review point. If you need clinic gym equipment, we will say the home is no longer the right setting.
Where we cover
Home visits across Lurgan, Craigavon, Portadown and Banbridge as core cover, with Lisburn, Armagh, Dungannon and Belfast arranged with a travel note. Call with a postcode and we will confirm. A family member can book if the patient consents to be seen.
FAQs
Is this NHS physio?
No. It is a private home visit. Keep any NHS physio appointments you have been given. We can write to them with consent.
