Hospital to home
Recovery at home
Short-term medical and nursing support while you get back on your feet.
From £95
This is not an emergency service. If someone has chest pain, stroke signs, severe breathing difficulty, heavy bleeding or collapse, call 999 or go to A&E. We work alongside the NHS, not instead of it.
About this service
Recovery at home is a short block of visits after an operation or illness: dressings, pain and mobility checks, and a GP review if recovery stalls. It is for people who are expected to improve, not for emergency complications.
Is this right for me?
- The week or two after an operation
- Infections that are being treated at home
- Families who can help, but need a clinician in the mix
Working alongside your NHS team
We do not replace your NHS GP, district nurse, consultant or A&E. We add private capacity at home. If you already have an NHS package, tell us so we do not duplicate or confuse the plan.
What we help with
- Wound and drain care as directed
- Checking you are eating, drinking and mobilising
- Catching problems early
What happens during the visit
- Observations
- Wound or symptom review
- Adjustment of the recovery plan
What is included
- Nurse or clinician visit
- Notes
- GP backup
Who delivers your care
Nurse-led, with GP input.
Pricing
From-price per nurse visit. A short recovery package is quoted after we know the operation or illness.
After your visit
We step down as you improve, rather than keeping visits going out of habit.
Where we cover
Home visits across Lurgan, Craigavon, Portadown and Banbridge as core cover, with Lisburn, Armagh, Dungannon and Belfast arranged with a travel note. Call with a postcode and we will confirm. A family member can book if the patient consents to be seen.
FAQs
Do you cover all operations?
We need to know the procedure and the hospital plan. Some recoveries must stay under the surgical team. We will tell you if that is the case.
