Personal and live-in care
Nutrition support at home
A practical nutrition plan at the kitchen table, not a generic diet sheet.
From £120
This is not an emergency service. If someone has chest pain, stroke signs, severe breathing difficulty, heavy bleeding or collapse, call 999 or go to A&E. We work alongside the NHS, not instead of it.
About this service
Losing weight at home is rarely about a leaflet. A clinician or dietitian sits at the kitchen table and looks at what is actually in the cupboard, who is cooking, and what the medicines are doing to appetite. The plan is practical: meals, supplements if needed, and when to worry.
Who it is for
Older adults losing weight, people after hospital, and families who can see the portions shrinking.
Is this right for me?
- Unplanned weight loss
- Poor appetite after illness
- A parent who is “just not eating”
Working alongside your NHS team
We do not replace your NHS GP, district nurse, consultant or A&E. We add private capacity at home. If you already have an NHS package, tell us so we do not duplicate or confuse the plan.
What we help with
- Appetite and meal pattern
- A plan built around the actual kitchen
- When supplements or a GP review are needed
What happens during the visit
- History, weight if it is kind to do it, and a look at the home routine
- A written plan the family can follow
- Escalation if this is more than nutrition
What is included
- Home nutrition assessment
- A practical written plan
- Advice on when to involve the GP or NHS dietetics
Who delivers your care
A dietitian or a clinician with nutrition as part of the visit, depending on the case.
Pricing
From-price for a dietitian or clinician nutrition visit at home. Follow-up visits are quoted after the first assessment.
After your visit
If weight keeps falling, this becomes a medical review, not another recipe. We will say so.
Where we cover
Home visits across Lurgan, Craigavon, Portadown and Banbridge as core cover, with Lisburn, Armagh, Dungannon and Belfast arranged with a travel note. Call with a postcode and we will confirm. A family member can book if the patient consents to be seen.
FAQs
Is this NHS dietetics?
No. It is a private home visit. Keep any NHS dietetic appointments you already have. We add a kitchen-table plan while you wait, or when travel is the problem.
