Diagnostics at home
Ultrasound at home
Selected ultrasound studies at home, where portable scanning is suitable.
From £180
This is not an emergency service. If someone has chest pain, stroke signs, severe breathing difficulty, heavy bleeding or collapse, call 999 or go to A&E. We work alongside the NHS, not instead of it.
About this service
Some ultrasound can be done with a portable machine at home. Many scans still need the clinic. We will not pretend a sofa is a radiology department. If you need a full clinic ultrasound, we send you to Friends Medical Service.
Is this right for me?
- A clinician has confirmed a portable scan is suitable
- Patients who cannot travel and the question is limited
- Follow-up of a known finding where portable imaging is enough
Working alongside your NHS team
We do not replace your NHS GP, district nurse, consultant or A&E. We add private capacity at home. If you already have an NHS package, tell us so we do not duplicate or confuse the plan.

Pricing
From-price where a portable scan is suitable. Many scans still need the clinic. Complex imaging stays with Friends Medical Service.
After your visit
If the home scan cannot answer the question, we book the clinic. We do not oversell portable imaging.
Where we cover
Home visits across Lurgan, Craigavon, Portadown and Banbridge as core cover, with Lisburn, Armagh, Dungannon and Belfast arranged with a travel note. Call with a postcode and we will confirm. A family member can book if the patient consents to be seen.
FAQs
Can every ultrasound be done at home?
No. Ask us first. If the clinic is the right place, we will send you there.
