Palliative care at home
Comfort-focused medical and nursing care at home.
From £145
This is not an emergency service. If someone has chest pain, stroke signs, severe breathing difficulty, heavy bleeding or collapse, call 999 or go to A&E. We work alongside the NHS, not instead of it.
About this service
Palliative care at home is about comfort, symptom control and a family that is not left alone with the practical night-time questions. We work with NHS GPs, district nurses and specialist palliative teams. We are not a hospice and we do not take over a specialist palliative plan.
Is this right for me?
- Someone who wants to be at home
- Families who need extra nursing or GP visits
- Nights that have become frightening
Working alongside your NHS team
We do not replace your NHS GP, district nurse, consultant or A&E. We add private capacity at home. If you already have an NHS package, tell us so we do not duplicate or confuse the plan.
What we help with
- Symptom review
- Nursing care
- Honest conversations about what we can and cannot do overnight
What happens during the visit
- Listen to the person and the family
- Treat what we can
- Agree who is on call in the NHS and who we are
What is included
- Clinician visit
- Coordination, with consent, with NHS teams
Who delivers your care
GP and nurses experienced in palliative support. Specialist prescribing stays with the appropriate clinician.
Pricing
From-price per clinician visit. We coordinate with NHS palliative and GP services. This is not a hospice.
After your visit
If home is no longer safe or kind, we will say so. Comfort comes before keeping a private package going.
Where we cover
Home visits across Lurgan, Craigavon, Portadown and Banbridge as core cover, with Lisburn, Armagh, Dungannon and Belfast arranged with a travel note. Call with a postcode and we will confirm. A family member can book if the patient consents to be seen.
FAQs
Are you a hospice at home team?
No. We provide additional GP and nursing visits at home and we work with existing NHS palliative services.
